Your help ensures that our school remains open for in-person learning during this pandemic. Thank you Tiger Families. Paxton Schools is a member of the NSAA. Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth. -Attendance is restricted to 50% of occupancy. -6 feet of physical distance between household groups in stands and spectator areas. -The host school may establish additional requirements in consultation with local health departments. Additional requirements implemented by the host school must be the same for all schools, officials, judges, and spectators. -Following the conclusion of the final contest, fans should leave the facility immediately. Paxton Return to School Plan. Elevated Risk (Orange) There are increasing or high stable numbers of COVID positive cases OR percent positive cases due to community or regional spread There is an increase in Flu-Like Symptoms OR COVID like syndromic cases. Clusters or outbreaks exist that are still likely in their early stages, plans to quarantine students and staff are implemented with the consideration for digital learning. There is only enough testing available for symptomatic people. Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department must rely on assistance to conduct investigation for new cases and associated and contact tracing. PPE supplies are only adequate for critical healthcare workers. Critical medical equipment is in limited supply. Guidelines for Elevated Risk are the same as for Moderate Risk except for the following: ● Wearing masks is required whenever 6 ft. physical distancing is not possible for 15 minutes or longer. ● Breakfast and lunch may be served in smaller groups such as in-classroom dining. ● Visitors are allowed, appointments are recommended. Restrictions may apply. Masks are required. ● Field trips and extracurricular activities may be suspended. Dear Paxton School Families, Below is important information from Southwest Nebraska Public Health District. Please take time to read this important information. Gatherings and Community Spread in Southwest Nebraska Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) had 192 new cases of COVID-19 reported from October 27th to November 2nd. Case investigations have revealed that most of the current spread of COVID-19 in southwest Nebraska is occurring at small gatherings and workplaces, along with community spread. SWNPHD recommends that everyone take precautions to protect their friends, neighbors, and coworkers by avoiding the 3 C’s, even in small groups, which are 1) crowded places, 2) close contact, and 3) confined spaces. Please wear a mask when you are unable to avoid the 3 C’s. We ALL need to do our part to keep the 20-21 school year going with in-person learning. Mr. Dack

Good morning Paxton Tigers! Thank you for being such awesome students and parents during the student pick up day. It was great seeing all of you and really hard to not give you a high-five, fist pump or hug. This has definitely been hard and new for all of us, but Tigers are known for their toughness, so hang in there. If you need anything, please email me or call the school. Our school community is strong. Stay Tough Tigers!!! Mr. Dack

Dear Paxton Families, Hard to believe we have been out of school for a week and we have two more weeks to go. Paxton teachers have been working hard to provide meaningful education for students while at home and they will be sending that home soon or you will pick it up on Monday. Students take it easy on your parents because this is new for them as well and they need your support. Parents we are here for you also, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us whenever you need something. I am optimistic that more positives than negatives will be the result of all this and our school community will only be stronger for it. You are constantly on our minds and We Miss You! Go Tigers!
