For all of you who want to continue to read and attain more AR points I have a couple of options for you that will keep you reading in the comfort of your own home!
SebcoBooks are offering free multi-user ebooks with over 450 titles to choose from!
Go to www.sebcobooks.com then click on the box on the bottom left side.
Then you will type: keepreading in the Username
and: sebco in the Password
Then you be asked to type in a student I.D you will need to type the number : 1
Another great option is Rosen Classroom.
Rosen Classroom is offering free access to 2,000 fiction and nonfiction eBooks to supplement at-home instruction while our school is closed.
On a computer, tablet, or mobile device with a connection to the internet, students have access to a full library of fiction and nonfiction eBooks at home. Independent reading is a wonderful way to assure students remain engaged in learning. We are committed to supporting parents as they encourage students to read on epointplus.
To access your account, just go to epointplus.com and enter your username and password.

Students in gr 6-12 should check their email for more information regarding the Mon. March 23 pick-up of materials. Students without email access should contact the school at 308-239-4283. Stay safe! We miss you!
Paxton students please bring back your library books when you come to clean out your lockers. I will have a big box by the library door for the high school and middle school. Elem please bring back all of your books and use the drop box for your returns. **HS and MS if you have not finished reading your book you may keep it and bring the book back when we return.**

Dear Elementary Parents. Elementary teachers have placed everything your student needs to take home on their desk in the classroom. Please take these materials and ALL items out of their cubby on Monday. Thank you
Due to impending weather on Friday, student clean out will be moved to Monday, March 23 using the same times. Student clean out will NOT be a social gathering, Please plan on grabbing your things and leaving the building. Thank you
In order to plan for lunch items, please notify the school by Friday at 9:00 am if you plan to eat lunch on the following Monday. Thank you
NHS Induction has been postponed until April 14th at 7 pm in the Media Center.
Apologies...Students need to pick up items this Friday, March 20.
The school will provide a daily meal during the school closure to those students that want it at no charge. Please call the school at 308-239-4283 before 9 a.m. to schedule the meal. Drop off locations will be determined based on need and the service will start on Monday, March 23.
In order to properly clean the school we would like students to come claim their belongings using the schedule to follow. ALL PreK to 6th grade students will be taking home their iPads and 7-12 need to make sure they have their devices with them. Using the first initial of the last name, please come at the following times: A,B 9 am, C,D 10 am, E,F 11 am, G-I noon, J-L 1 pm, M-O 2 pm and P-Z 3 pm.
Dear parents and students. At this time Paxton Schools is planning to be closed through April 3 as recommended by the Commissioner of Education. Classes will resume on April 6. Teachers will be providing lessons for students soon. Stay tuned!

Elementary parent teacher conferences for today have been canceled.
Paxton Schools will be closed this week March 16-20. Our school closure is in response to coronavirus and the CDC recommending social distancing and public protection. Please keep children home to avoid community spread. Further information will follow.
Paxton Schools continues to monitor the coronavirus and the changes that may impact the school community. The Paxton Board of Education will have an Emergency Meeting on Monday, March 16 at 7:00 pm in the School Board Room to discuss the situation.
Paxton Prom has been postponed to May 2. Hirschfeld's have been contacted and they will hold all reservations until then.
State FFA Convention— Canceled
Like many events the State FFA convention has been canceled.
SPEECH CONTEST: The NSAA is regretfully suspending district and state speech contests until further notice.
Dear Parents
Paxton Schools continues to monitor the rapidly changing events associated with the coronavirus and the potential impact it has on our school community. At this time I can tell you that many activities are being cancelled across the state and I am sure that there will be more cancellations to come.
We are planning on having school as scheduled and we will decide whether to participate in any of the remaining activities scheduled this year as more information becomes available. We will follow guidance from Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department, Nebraska Department of Education, State of Nebraska and other agencies when making these decisions.
