Paxton Schools initiated a Lockout drill this morning in order to conduct a canine search of our building as a follow up to Red Ribbon Week. Drills like this keep our school a safe place for students and staff.

Physics students took advantage of the nice weather and went outside to see who could throw a football the highest. They had to use kinematic equations to find the height of their projectile.



We have a new black swallowtail butterfly in 1st grade!
5th graders had two more Mystery Skypes this week. We found one class in New Jersey and the other class in Virgina. We love learning new facts about each state at the end of our Skype.




Mrs.Spencer introduced our students to her Aunt and Uncle, Carol Rasmussen and Dr. Martin Noecker.Carol is a science writer for NASA and Dr. Noecker is an engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab.They visited with us about space, climate change, and their experiences as scientists.


Today the 5th graders got a close up look at food chains during our science lab. What did the owl eat?
