The Paxton NHS members will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 10:30-4:30, at the school in the East gym. Please consider making a donation. Walk in's are welcome but appointments are preferred. Your donation may save a life, but it may also help provide our seniors with more scholarship money! You may contact Mrs. Spencer at the school or use your Blood Donor app to schedule an appointment. Thank you!
Last week, the Lady Tigers volleyball team ended conditioning week with some scavenger hunt fun!
Band camp will be this Friday for students in 7-12 Band. Supper will be provided!

Paxton families, join us for back to school night this evening. The school board will be serving, hamburgers and hotdogs from 5:30 to 7:00. Come meet your teachers and check out your classrooms. There will be a Fall Sports parent meeting tonight from 6:30 to 6:45 for the middle school and from 6:45 to 7:00 for the high school in the West gym. Go Tigers!

Day 2 for the Paxton Staff included a trip to Sutherland for our ESU PLC day. We listened to an amazing keynote speaker, John O'Leary, followed by breakout sessions. Also, thank you to Ole's for catering a wonderful lunch!

Dear Students and Parents,
The 23-24 Student Handbooks and Activity Handbooks are on the school district website. www.paxtonschools.org. Please note changes to the Student Cell Phone and Other Electronic Devices Policy (6025) on page 18. This policy was adopted by the School Board and will be in effect this school year.
Please note:
1. Students in grades 9-12 may use cell phones or other electronic devices on school grounds ONLY before and after school, during lunch and during passing time between classes so long as they do not create a distraction or a disruption. During class time, students will place their phones in each classroom’s designated cell phone area.
2. Students in grades PreK-8 are not allowed to use cell phones and other personal smart devices during the school day. Phones must be turned off and left in lockers or at home.
3. Students will not be allowed to wear headphones during the day unless they are specific for that class period. Teachers will provide headphones for students if they are needed for class instruction.
4. Students who violate this policy or other school rules will have their cell phones or electronic devices confiscated immediately.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT will be Tuesday, August 15th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. FREE Hamburger and/or Hotdog Appreciation Meal for all students and families! We will start serving at 5:30 p.m. and will serve until the food is gone!
