These procedures serve as general guidance. The primary outcome for this plan is to keep students and staff in attendance at school and provide a safe environment for teaching and learning. Seniors please make sure to update Mrs. Spencer on your plan for after high school. If you plan on attending college, include where and if you know your intended major. This will be listed on the graduation program as an insert.

We are excited to honor our graduates of the Class of 2020 at Paxton Schools at 3 PM Saturday, July 25, 2020. In order to host graduation at our school we must implement the following precautions according to guidelines from the CDC and Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department:
Each graduate is permitted to bring up to 16 total guests. All guests must be invited by a graduate in order to attend the graduation ceremony. No public guests will be permitted.
One group of 8 family members or guests per graduate will be seated together on the floor in designated areas.
All other guests will sit in the bleachers in designated areas in groups of no more than 8, per social distancing guidelines.
Attendees are recommended to follow these safety guidelines:
Physical distancing
Frequent hand washing or use of hand sanitizer
Staying home if sick
Wearing a face covering (optional)
Specific safety guidelines to prevent the spread of Coronavirus will be posted throughout the school.
There will not be a receiving line or gift drop off during the graduation.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live streamed and accessible at paxtonschools.org website.

Hello everyone! We hope your summer is going well and you are finding ways to stay cool. We wanted to let you know that we are planning to start school on August 13th and we can't wait to see everyone again. Starting back to school may look a little different and we are creating Back-to-School protocols that we will share with you prior to the start of school. Stay safe this summer and we look forward to seeing each of you in August.

Come help your neighbors by donating blood at the school on Monday, June 22 from 9:30-3;30 at the Blood Drive that is hosted by the NHS members! The Red Cross is now testing all blood, platelet & plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Appointments are strongly encouraged. Paxton Prom at Harbor Lights will be held July 16, 2020, 6:00 to 12:00 MT. Post prom activities will be included. Students must Register at www.gotoprom2020.com. There will be a $5.00 registration fee. Out-of-down dates will also need to be registered.
Registration needs to be completed by July 1, 2020.

Transportation by bus will be available by the school. Please be sure to complete this question when registering. Buses will leave from the school at approximately 5:15 MT.

Driver's Ed - students must have at least a learner's permit!


WEIGHT ROOM – Paxton Schools will open the Weight Room to public access for adults, beginning Monday, June 1st as permitted by CDC guidelines. Access will be available from 4 pm to 9 pm daily. Please follow social distancing guidelines and disinfect the equipment when finished using. Disinfectant wipes and spray will be available in the weight room. ONLY the Weight Room is available for use, NO GYMS as per CDC guidelines. The facility will be monitored daily for compliance. Contact the school at 239-4283 for access to the weight room or if you have any questions.

Dear Parents and Students, we will be checking in student materials on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2. Please use the following schedule: using the first initial of the last name, please come at the following times: A,B 9 am, C,D 10 am, E,F 11 am, G-I noon, J-L 1 pm, M-O 2 pm and P-Z 3 pm. Elementary students will enter through the South entrance to drop off school materials and pick up their belongings. JH and HS students will enter through the South JH entrance to drop off their materials and clean out lockers, if necessary. Students should return digital devices with chargers and cases, library books, classroom books and other school issued materials. Students with combination locks should put them in their computer cases. Thank you

High school summer conditioning will begin Monday June 1 from 6:30 - 7:30 AM. Workouts are Mon - Thurs. There will also be a fall sports meeting after conditioning on Monday as well. Any ??'s please contact Mr. Jorgensen

School Physicals for 2020-21 are required for incoming Kindergarteners, 7th graders and out-of-state transfer students per Nebraska Statute. NSAA is only requiring sports physicals for incoming 9th graders. Students in grades 8, 10, 11, 12 in 2020-21 only need a sports physical if they do not already have one on file at the school for the 2019-20 year. All students in grades 7-12 who are participating in NSAA extracurricular activities will need to complete the NSAA Consent Form together with their parent(s).
